Join Me for the Angler Shawl Knit-Along / Class!

I’m so excited to invite you to North Bay Fiber’s first-ever Knit-A-Long (KAL), and what better way to kick things off than with the Angler Shawl!  

This pattern holds a special place in my heart—it was the very first design I created when I launched North Bay Fiber in 2021. My goal was to design a simple, top-down shawl that was engaging yet relaxing to knit, and a perfect showcase for my Heritage yarn. I’ve already knit this shawl four times, and trust me—it never gets old!

Why the Angler Shawl?
✔️ Beginner-friendly – If you’ve taken our Knitting 101 class (hey, graduates!), you’re ready for this! If you can cast on, knit, and purl, you can make this shawl.

✔️ Versatile & Wearable – Knit it in one, two, or even four colors! It’s the ultimate pick-up-and-knit project.

✔️ Great for first-time shawl knitters – This classic top-down triangular shape is one of the most popular shawl constructions, and you’ll learn valuable skills like garter tab cast-on, increases, stitch marker placement, and an i-cord bind-off.

✔️ The perfect spring project – With my boys’ baseball season around the corner, I’m ready to cast on another one. I wear mine to all the games—it’s perfect as a wrap or a cozy blanket on chilly spring days. (Because, let’s be real, sometimes it snows in April!)

The Details:

📍 Location: In-person at North Bay Fiber Yarn Shop | 3737 N Huron Road, Pinconning, Michigan

📅 Day & Time: Fridays from 12–2 PM

🗓️ Dates: March 14, 21, 28 & April 11 (skipping a week for Spring Break)

🙋‍♀️ Instructor: Jill Zielinski

💲 Cost: $60 (includes pattern - yarn is purchase separately but see discount note below)

🧶 Yarn – While you can use any yarn, we encourage you to knit with North Bay Fiber! KAL participants receive 10% off class materials.

👥 Limited spots available! – We need a minimum of 3 and a max of 6 participants.

Cancellation & Refund Policy 

We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change! If you need to cancel your knitting class reservation, please let the shop know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone else.

• Cancellations 48+ hours in advance: You’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule within 30 days.
• Cancellations within 24-48 hours: A 50% refund or rescheduling (if space allows).
• No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours: Unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund, as your reserved spot could have gone to another participant.

Since class sizes are limited, last-minute cancellations mean lost opportunities for others and impact the time and materials we've set aside. We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping things fair for everyone!

If we cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances you’ll have an option to receive a full refund or to reschedule within 30 days.
